About this deal

When it comes to tilingand learning how to tileand before you begin fixing tiles, you must decide which tile trowel you’ll use. You can be confident that our adhesives protect indoor air quality and contribute to a healthy environment, both during and after installation. I also noticed although the centres stay the same ( 3mm ) the depth varies probably due to different batches.

When you fully embed the tile into the bed of adhesive, it spreads out the adhesive ridges evenly into the spaces between the trowel lines. Amtico recommend A2 notch as the correct spread of adhesive for their LVT product, this blade fits the standard wooden handle of the adhesive trowel. We can also introduce you to a much more varied selection of Flooring Tools or Flooring Accessories from other leading brands and manufacturers in the UK.

They help us to identify popular products and understand your browsing habits so we can display relevant adverts to you.

Specially formulated to be used in conjunction with our products, Karndean adhesives can be used in live environments without the need for special requirements or ventilation. This type of adhesive is applied with A2 notched trowel and needs 20 minutes for airing, and allows for 120 minutes working time.

A finished placement requires a minimum of 2mm beneath the finished placement, aiming for a 3mm minimum makes it easier to calculate the proper tile trowel size.

If you want minimum 3mm bed of adhesive beneath the tile cupped by 3mm, you must use a trowel that will leave a 6mm bed of adhesive beneath the finished placement. When you use a 6mm x 10mm square-notched trowel you will leave 6mm wide by 10mm high ridges of adhesive on the substrate, with 6mm spaces between each ridge.
